Danish unemployment benefits while job searching in Sweden
If you receive unemployment benefits in Denmark, you can bring your benefits to Sweden for up to three months while looking for work. To do this, you need a PD U2 certificate from your Danish unemployment fund, which gives you the right to transfer your benefits to another EU or EEA country.
You must also register with Arbetsförmedlingen, Sweden’s public employment service, and be available for the Swedish labour market.
Contact your Danish unemployment fund for more information about looking for work in Sweden while receiving Danish unemployment benefits.

You only have three months
If you do not find a job in Sweden, you must return to Denmark and register with your local job centre before the end of the three-month period. Otherwise, you may lose your right to unemployment benefits.
Once you start working in Sweden, you can no longer receive unemployment benefits from Denmark. Instead, you should join a Swedish unemployment fund to make sure you are covered in case of unemployment.
As a cross-border commuter, ask to speak with an EU caseworker when contacting an unemployment fund in Sweden or Denmark.
