Please read this page to understand how we process your personal data and how we use cookies. By using our websites or subscribing to our newsletter, you consent to the processing of your information as described in this policy.
Øresunddirekt is the data controller responsible for your personal data. We respect your privacy and process your information in accordance with applicable legislation.
We collect information about you in two ways:
- Through cookies
- When you provide information to us
This policy applies to the following websites:
1. Cookies
1.1 What is a cookie?
When you visit our websites, cookies are stored on your device.
Cookies are small text files that enable us to recognise your device and collect information about how you use the website, such as which pages you visit.
Some cookies are necessary for certain website functions to operate correctly. Cookies can also improve your experience by remembering your preferences and helping pages load more quickly when you revisit them.
Cookies do not contain information about your identity, name or address.
1.2 Why we use cookies
We use cookies to improve your experience on our websites. Cookies also help us measure traffic and understand where our visitors come from.
The information we collect about the use of our websites is used for statistical purposes and to gain insights into user behaviour. All information is processed confidentially.
1.3 Managing your cookies
You can control how cookies are used on your device through your browser settings. Please note that blocking all cookies may affect the functionality of many websites.

1.4 Third-party cookies
We use a number of services provided by external partners on our websites. These services may also use cookies.
For example, we use Google Analytics to measure traffic and website usage, including the number of visits, page views and users. This is done through third-party cookies.
Google Analytics collects technical information such as browser type, IP address and the pages you visit. We use IP anonymisation so that your IP address cannot be used to identify you.
If you do not want Google Analytics to record your visit, you can opt out through Google.

We also use social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok, where you can share our content. In addition, we use YouTube for videos and Google Maps for maps and address information. These services may also place cookies on your device.
Our websites also contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the content of these websites or for their cookie and privacy practices.

We collect personal data to provide you with a functional and user-friendly service.
We always request your consent when collecting personal data, and any mandatory information is clearly marked.
You are not obliged to provide your information. However, choosing not to do so may limit your access to certain services.
2.2 Use of personal data
We primarily use your personal data to provide the service for which the information was collected.
We may also use the information to gain a better understanding of you and other users. This includes analyses and surveys that help us improve our websites and services.
2.3 Protection of personal data
In accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we store your personal data securely and confidentially.
Your information is stored in systems with restricted access located in controlled environments. We regularly review our security measures to ensure that your information is handled responsibly and in accordance with your rights.
No method of data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. This means that, in rare cases, there may be a risk that unauthorised parties gain access to information while it is transmitted to and from our websites or stored electronically. You therefore provide information at your own risk.
We delete or anonymise your personal data when it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
The rapid development of digital services may make changes to our processing of personal data necessary. We therefore reserve the right to update and amend these guidelines.
Any updates will be published on our websites. Where significant changes are made, we will obtain renewed consent where required.
