Øresunddirekt has in recent times experienced an increasing amount of non-EU citizens living in Denmark and working in Sweden without a proper work permit. This may cause consequences for both the worker and the hiring company.

Starting from the 31'st of May 2021, Sweden has decided to lift all travel restrictions for travelers from Nordic countries.

Sweden lifts special travel restrictions from Denmark and Norway

The Swedish government has decided to lift the special travel restrictions from Denmark and Norway. The travel restrictions that used to be applicable on inbound travel form Denmark and Norway to Sweden will be lifted on the 31 March 2021. The general travel ban with a test requirement will be extended to the 31st May 2021.
