Deduction for travel expenses as a cross-border commuter
If you work in Denmark, you may be entitled to deduct travel expenses between your home and workplace, provided the costs are paid by you and not reimbursed by your employer.
The deduction is calculated per workday based on the distance travelled and only applies to the days you actually commute to work.
You can only claim a deduction for the part of your daily travel that exceeds 24 km in total. This means that the distance between your home and workplace must exceed 12 km each way.
